Edson prepared dinner for a few friends and I the other night. Candidly, I was a little apprehensive about the overall experience since I've never had a meal w a "private chef" before, but Edson (who was assisted by his lovely wife) was friendly and eliminated the possibility for any awkwardness right off the bat.

Technically, an "amateur" chef, Edson is incredibly knowledgeable about Mexican food and clearly loves the craft of cooking. He offered explanations of many of the ingredients, as well the origins of his style, which was a blend of different areas within the country.

The food itself was absolutely wonderful. It was both hearty and healthy, dispelling many predisposed beliefs I've had about Mexican food. I would strongly recommend that anyone with an interest in food from this region engage Edson for a fantastic KitchenSurfing experience!
