More Information

We're raising a small amount of funds to help supply chefs with ingredients for hot meals for people in the hardest hit areas of New York City. Funds go only towards ingredients and transportation.

Almost a week after Hurricane Sandy hit New York, some parts of the city are still devastated.

Kitchensurfing chefs have been helping out in the Rockaways this weekend and reports are grim. Thousands are homeless and haven’t had a hot meal in a week. This project is about getting them the warm food they need.

Any funds raised beyond what’s necessary for transit and food costs will be handed over to the Red Cross and the Mayor’s Relief Fund. Remember, communities can reach out, person to person, to make a world of difference.

Kitchensurfing.com is a global community of chefs, based in New York.
