1) Anova Culinary Bluetooth Sous Vide Precision Cooker
Right off the bat, one of the best, if not best, sous vide machines on the market.
Just looking at the huge numbers on the LCD makes me glee in happiness as I know that readings won’t be a bother to me. This might sound strange to you, but many companies fail to realize how hard it can be to get a reading on those small screens. This one gets it!
Another great thing about this piece of sous vide equipment was the modern technology behind it. Enabling you to connect the machine with your phone, one can easily control all aspects of their sous vide machine while lying on the couch!
What We Liked About It – The sleek and stylish design, coupled with the simple interface, made for an amazing experience. I always felt in control of what was happening, and considering that this is a precision cooker, after all, one always gets their food cooked evenly. Very recommended!
2) ChefSteps Joule Sous Vide
Talk about the future; the Joule is from another dimension. An 1100 Watt power output makes heating your water super fast and easy. The temperature control is also out of this world, as I was able to control even the smallest of tidbits, from a 0,1 Celsius degree range. Stunning!
Additionally, one can hook it up to their phone and do their job from the other side of the room. There is one thing that bothers me a bit, and that is the fact that it only works with 120 V outlets. After contacting the company, they have advised me not to play any games with that, as they wouldn’t provide me with any warranty if damage were to occur. Stay on the lookout for that!
What We Liked About It – I liked the flashing green light on the top of this machine as it was always visible and one couldn’t miss it. A lot of thought went into designing this thing, and despite some limitations, it is still one of the best sous vide machines out there!
3) SousVide Supreme Water Oven
This machine is a monster, plain and simple. Having the ability to hold up to twelve liters of water in it, one can cook a feast in no time!
I also like how you can control the temperature inside of that thing for days on end, without having to worry about any outside influences. The display could take a bit of tweaking, as I don’t appreciate having a small screen.
On the other hand, the amount of control you could extort upon the water, and your meal was stunning, with buttons that were easy to follow and use.
What We Liked About It – My head started spinning when I realized how much water this thing can hold in. Not because I was that impressed by that number but for a different reason; My electricity bill. I was praying to the Gods by the end of the month, but once I found my electricity statement, I was positively shocked. The thing wasted less electricity than a common cooker! An item you have to have in your kitchen.
4) SousVide Supreme Demi Water Oven
An upgrade based on the previous model. Although it can hold less water than its counterpart, it has some pretty nifty traits at its disposal.
First off, one would have to listen to the sound of the machine working. Can’t hear it? Exactly. And this is why I prefer this one much more as I’m not bothered by any noise while my meal is cooking.
This model supports cables from 110-120 Volts, so it was more flexible, and I was glad that they made efforts to compliment this problem.
What We Liked About It – The most loveable thing about this model is the ease with which one can clean up afterward. I would recommend a soft cloth for such a job and moderate rubbing, to not damage the machine in any way. Lastly, the timer system allows you to set things up and come back to a fully prepared meal. Great value!
5) Forsous Sous Vide Precision Cooker
Finally, a model with an immersion circulator! I love such machines as they always, and I mean, always create food that is evenly cooked.
This might even be considered a problem with sous vide machine, but if there is one thing an immersion circulator fixes, it’s a problem of even heating. Although its power is nothing to brag about, a respectable 800 Watts will still get the job done in no time!
The LCD was a nice touch, and one could see that the company cares about user experience. I was delighted by the piece of sous vide cooking equipment!
What We Liked About It – This machine stood out in a very simple manner; I didn’t have to buy any specialized pots as the clamp from the machine was adjustable on its own. This meant that I had to make absolutely no investments at all after purchasing the machine, yet I still could feel like a culinary expert in sous vide cooking. Very nice!
6) Sansaire Sous Vide Immersion Circulator
I wasn’t impressed by this model at first sight as its size was minuscule. I mean, sure, it was a perfect pick for those that have problems storing their appliances in the kitchen, but I wasn’t looking for something like that. Although small, it still packs a punch a 1000 Watt motor that makes the temperature go up high in no time!
I also liked how easily controllable the scales were when it came to the temperature- As some meals require exact degrees to hit the sweet spot, I was very grateful for such precision! The materials behind this sous vide machine were also more than top-notch, stainless steel is the main ingredient, ensuring its stability and sturdiness!
What We Liked About It – Sitting at only about six pounds, one can easily store it in their travel bag and sail off! Perfect for people that suffer from itchy feet. Another great thing about this machine was the LCD screen with very accurate readings. I felt like a professional at cooking!
7) PolyScience CHEF Series Sous Vide
A whale among fish. I’m not even sure how to approach this machine, as it is something special. Here’s the thing, usually speaking, sous vide machines that have an immersion circulator don’t heat a lot of quantity.
They might do it evenly, but it is rare to see a machine go over ten liters. But this baby does it, and you can fit up to thirty liters in it! I tried backing some stakes, and I was able to do twenty small ones or ten big ones at once.
That’s a crazy amount of food, and to be perfectly honest, I can see restaurants utilizing this machine with ease! You can also save on staff as you just put the food in, set the timer and voila, your cooked meal leaps into your lap.
What We Liked About It – I’m just going to go straight ahead and claim this as the best sous vide machine on the market. It does what others strive to accomplish and at a much higher rate. It’s crazy to think that a company could even come up with this thing! The gold standard, for now, can’t wait to see someone push it from the leading spot.
8) Tribest Sousvant SV-101 Complete Sous Vide
I wasn’t a fan of the design, but that boils down to personal preference at the end of the day. What did amaze me, however, was the sturdiness of that thing; I didn’t have to worry about any breakdowns happening as this machine was stable as a mountain!
The powerful 1000 Watt motor was just one of the things that made this machine great in my eyes, and the immersion circulator that was built in worked like a charm. All of my meals were evenly cooked, and I didn’t have any problems cleaning up the mess afterward.
The removable carafe was the icing on the cake as I was able to become a part of the cooking process as I delved into the proceedings. It felt like a live-action movie to be perfectly frank!
What We Liked About It – You would think that all this commotion and power would come at a cost. And what cost is greater but your peace? Personally speaking, I hate loud noises as they can be very irritating at times. Not with this piece of sous vide equipment as I found it to be very quiet- I sometimes wondered if I hadn’t turned it off by accident?!
9) Sous Vide Water Oven – Smart Hub by Oliso
The size was the first thing that flickered my attention. All the lights and controls along with the nicely laid out screen were also really captivating.
This is a model that’s more suitable for commercial use as it can cook so much food at once! That doesn’t mean that it can’t be used at your local kitchen as one can still utilize its capacity to cook meals for guests or extended family.
In terms of power, it is one of the strongest sous vide machines out there. 1500 Watts helps heat the temperature to your desired level in no time.
The cleanup process is also very easy, as this machine doesn’t have any wires or extended cables!
It also comes with an induction cooktop, but we don’t recommend that portion of it. Stick with a dedicated induction burner or electric griddle.
What We Liked About It – It’s big, it’s powerful, and it’s made out of high-quality materials that will never leave you hanging. It would be really difficult to find a model better than this one as the manufacturers ensured that this one takes a good spot in any top ten list!
10) Nomiku WiFi Sous Vide 1100-Watt
Nomiku models always make me shiver with excitement as they put a lot of thought behind their designs. This model is no different from its stylish and sleek interface, featuring Wi-Fi technology that enables you to control things without having to be in the immediate vicinity of the machine.
The LCD screen is huge compared to others in the same realm and I found it to be very intuitive upon first-time use. As it features an immersion circulator, powered up with an 1100 Watt motor, you will never have a problem with unevenly cooked food!
What We Liked About It – Being able to attach it to any pot made things much easier for me as I didn’t want to spend additional funds just to be able to use my machine. I also liked how well-cooked the food was and the temperature was so easy to control that I could go through a few meals in a day without any hassle!
How Did We Choose The Best Sous Vide Machine?
Sous Vide machines have a few set rules in stone when it comes to quality. Before opting for a purchase, it is quintessential for you to know about them and then make up your own judgment!
1) Immersion Circulator? Yes, But With Power
If you look around the market, you will see most everyone recommends getting one that features an immersion circulator.
What they don’t mention is that although they might cook the food evenly, they usually lack in the power department.
2) LCD Display
Any model that cannot take a leap towards the future loses points in my book.
I like my readings to be coherent and I like them big. Companies should pick up on that because many people feel that way!
3) Temperature Control And Heating
Understandably, you would want your sous vide machine to heat up as fast as possible but let’s not forget the fact that having the ability to control the temperature to an exact variable massively aids in the process of cooking!
Why Do You Need An Immersion Circulator?
My favorite answer to such a question would be a comparison of my credit card statement before I had sous vide machine and I after I got one!
I used to eat out a lot as I wasn’t any good in cooking. Now that I have the ability to let a machine do the job for me and without having to pay someone extra money every time I want a fancy dinner, the amount I saved was outstanding!
Additionally, the ability to just roleplay as a professional cook is just really fun. I remember when I had my parents over for dinner, they wouldn’t believe that such a small product could create such amazing meals.
Me neither, that is until I got myself sous vide machine! Pair it up with a vacuum sealer and cooking torch, and you’re good to go!
