- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausages and cook until they turn brown on the outside.
- Add garlic and onion and cook for two minutes.
- Add a pinch of salt, pepper, chili flakes, and tomato paste in no specific order. Mix and turn the mixture for 8 minutes over medium heat.
- Add the pasta and half of the reserved pasta cooking water and toss for not more than 1 minute.
- Remove from the heat and garnish with basil leaves and parmesan.
- Serve while hot.
