Almost everyone in America knows how to prepare and cook a cheeseburger, but what if you want to add a little twist? I have for you a simple recipe that will spice up that old tired cheeseburger you are used to. Here’s what you need to make four awesome quarter pound stuffed cheeseburgers.
Go to your local grocery store and head over to the meat department. Once there pick up a pound (or a touch over is ok too) of lean ground beef. I stress lean as this type of beef always grill better than its fatty, cheaper counterpart. You will then need to head over to the dairy section and pick up some shredded cheese.
Now you can get any kind of cheese you want, I like a mix of cheddar and Monterrey Jack. Don’t forget the buns and what ever garnish you like. Last but not least you will need to pick up some breadcrumbs. Take all of your ingredients home and get ready to prepare your stuffed cheeseburgers.

Once home get a nice sized bowl that will easily fit the whole pound of beef. Put the beef in and get the breadcrumbs. Generously pour the breadcrumbs into the bowl with the beef and then use your hands to massage in the breadcrumbs. Once you have the breadcrumbs massaged in evenly divide the beef into four equal patties. There is a trick to this as well.
Take the divided beef and roll each piece in your hands as though you are making a ball. Once you have a nice round piece, use two fingers and push a hole about three quarters of the way through the meat. Then get your cheese. Fill the hole with the shredded cheese and then make the ball shape of meat into a more regular style patty.

Once you have repeated this four times you are ready to cook your stuffed cheeseburgers. Kick on the grill and cook them to your desired temperature. Then garnish them with whatever you wish and get ready to enjoy the tastiest cheeseburger you ever ate. The awesome part with these stuffed cheeseburgers is that with every bite you get a nice chunk of gooey, hot cheese.
Now you know the trick, but don’t think you have to stuff the burgers with just cheese. You can spruce it up with almost anything. Try some crabmeat in the hole for a great tasting surf-and-turf stuffed burger. Cut up some red, green and yellow peppers and make a nice veggie stuffed burger. Really there is no limit to what you can stuff the burgers with. Experiment and have fun with it. Most of all enjoy.
