As soon as I saw the Norpro Cake-Sicle pan I knew I needed one. I love to bake apple cakes and tasty cupcakes for my friends and family and am always looking for a way to make my creations fun and different, and this pan is exactly that. I have a large collection of cake and baking pans and the Cake-Sicle pan has quickly become a fan favorite.
The Cake-Sicle pan is so easy to use, simple pour batter into the pan, add a popsicle stick to each individual cake well, and bake until light, fluffy and done. You can frost them on all sides and decorate however you want, with frosting, sprinkles, candy and anything else yummy you can find.
I found that to serve my cake-sicles, it was easier to stick them into something, like the green foam that dried and fake flower arrangements come stuck in. That way you do not have to worry about one side of the icing getting messed up and smearing off when laying them down on a plate or platter. Plus, with all the cake-sicles standing vertical they take up less room (that’s why we use the best cake stand). Not to mention them looking awesome and being sure to impress your guests.

The Cake-Sicle pan doesn’t only have to make popsicle shaped cupcakes. You can also use brownie batter or cookie dough to make popsicle shaped the best brownies and cookies. Make an assortment of all three for a party and you are sure to have a hit dessert that everyone will love and rave about.
I found that using 1/8 cup of batter was the perfect amount for the popsicles to hold up on the sticks. You do not want them to be too big and heavy or they might break and fall off the popsicle sticks. Also you don’t want them to look too wimpy.
The nonstick pan is also a breeze to clean up. Everything wiped right off with simply a paper towel. The whole experience using this pan is simple, quick and easy.
I would highly recommend the Cake-Sicle pan for experienced and novice bakers alike. It’s great for kid’s parties and easy enough that the kids can make and decorate them on their own. They are also less messy than normal cakes and cupcakes since the kids are holding a clean stick the whole time, instead of sticking their hands in the cake.
Very fun and unique product!
