Now, onto some things about the Oster CKSTBR9050 that we really loved!
Things we loved
First off, we loved how easy the Oster CKSTBR9050 breadmaker was to use. This is probably the best selling point. Anyone and I mean anyone, can unpack the CKSTBR9050 and start making bread within minutes. We usually recommend that you read the instruction manual, but you really won’t need to with this machine.
This is especially true if you’re looking to make a simple, basic bread recipe. All you have to do is add your measured ingredients, put the bread pan in the machine, close the lid, and pick your setting! The Oster CKSTBR9050 takes care of the rest!
You can watch the entire bread-making process through the glass viewing window. We love when bread machines have this window. It reminds us of when we used to bake bread at grandma’s house!
There are 13 easy-to-use settings for a variety of breads, dough, jam, and cake! There’s also a handy setting that lets you choose which color you want your crust to come out as. We found these settings to be really great because they enable the average baker to make delicious bread. It’s impossible to mess up your bread with the Oster CKSTBR9050.

You can also delay baking up to 13 hours with the programmable baking timer. This feature is something that we’ve been using a lot lately on our bread machine. We put the ingredients in before we leave for work, set the timer for 8 hours, then come home to our house smelling like delicious bread! What’s better than that!?
Oster also gives you a neat little recipe book. It has basic bread recipes that are great for beginners. Remember, if you’re a beginner, there is going to be some trial and error. However, the Oster CKSTBR9050 will certainly help overcome most challenges that beginners face.
There were a couple of things that we thought could be better…
Some minor annoyances
While we really do love the Oster CKSTBR9050, there are some things about it that we thought could be better. We found that it works great for regular breads, but isn’t the best with gluten-free mixes. This isn’t really all that surprising. Gluten-free mixes are much more difficult to bake with than traditional ingredients.

There’s also the minor annoyance of the Oster CKSTBR9050 being slightly louder than other bread machines that we’ve used. Again, this is super-nitpicky as isn’t going to be a problem for most people. However, because we’ve worked with $250+ bread machines before, we’re used to very little noise!
The Verdict
We loved the Oster CKSTBR9050 because it’s incredibly easy to use and makes great bread 99% of the time.
It’s a fantastic value for the price! The few loaves that we made from it were delicious. If you’re never going to make gluten-free bread, then the Oster CKSTBR9050 is great for you.
