Stuffed Turkey Cutlets
Ingredients
- 10 turkey breast cutlets
- sage
- thyme
- garlic cloves (Here are some great garlic presses for you!)
- chicken broth (2 cans)
- 1 medium onion (Here are some great onion choppers for you!)
- olive oil (Here’s some olive oil dispensers you may like)
- 1 lb of hot Italian sausage out of casing
- 1 Pepperidge farm stuffing package (16 oz)
- 1 egg
- flour
Directions:
- Simmer the chicken broth with sage, garlic, and thyme to soak up all of the flavor.
- Saute all of the onion in a little bit of olive oil until they are completely translucent.
- Add all of the Italian Sausage into the pan with the sauteed onion, break it up, and then saute everything until it is fully cooked and browned.
- Mix the onion and the sausage into a bowl with all of the16 oz package of the stuffing mix.
- Take some of the thyme, the garlic, and the sage out of chicken broth and then add all of the broth, a little bit at a time, to the previously made onion mixture. Add enough broth to make the mixture mushy but not liquidy. Set aside excess broth.
- Pound turkey cutlets thin if not already done so. Lay 1 cutlet flat and spoon stuffing on top; then place 1 cutlet on top and tie together with kitchen twine. Do this for all 10, creating 5 wholes. Then cover with egg and flour.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown turkey cutlets in skillet and then place each in pan with high sides and add a little of the excess broth to the bottom of the pan. Hell, if you really want, you can throw it in a deep fryer or air fryer for extra crispiness.
- Place into oven for about 25 minutes, or until turkey is completely cooked.
